Etz Timesheet Solutions was founded in 2000 by Nick Woodward to create a better way to process and manage timesheets.
As a sought after software engineer Nick built complex software systems worth millions of pounds and worked for companies including Microsoft, Shell, Credit Suisse and Merrill Lynch. Yet he found that the recruitment consultancies which employed him generally used outdated and time consuming paper based methods to process their timesheets, pay their temps and contractors and invoice clients.
Not surprisingly this often led to costly remedial processes with mismatched and re-keyed data. He knew too that this was a widespread problem throughout the recruitment industry.
What was needed was a simple, one-step solution which would eradicate costly administrative errors and duplication and speed up the process in line with modern business priorities. It needed to harness new, user friendly technology to reliably and securely transfer data and to automate the whole chain of actions. This would mean that everyone: temporary staff, recruitment agencies and clients could exchange information and benefit from an integrated process. Timesheets could be logged online and authorised, triggering invoicing and payroll processes in just one streamlined operation.
None of the available timesheet processing systems could do this and no other system can even now! So Nick developed his own system to meet these needs.
